CEO and founder Loren A. Stiffler, along with his wife Valarie, were at a crossroads in early 2003. Loren had been Senior VP at a large B2B publishing company that had recently been purchased. On the way home from a church softball game, the idea of a church magazine came into their thoughts. Their home church was going through the building process, and it appeared there weren’t any media resources to help them along the way. After some research and conversations with church growth expert and author Lyle Schaller, and Pastor Chris DeGreen, Religious Product News was born. In 2005, Valor launched its second magazine, Christian School Products. Both magazines are dedicated to product and service selection for growing churches and Christian schools.
